Vespa A History

The Vespa Test
Watching the beginning of this movie I am led to believe the film makers are testing the depths of your interest in Vespa. I'm waiting to take delivery of a new GTV 300, so I'm busily devouring all the media I can find. Alas, I cannot make it through this video in one sitting. I watched the trailer for it on You Tube. The horribly repetitive synthesizer riff and the dark, dark shots gave me pause. "That cannot be what the entire film is like!" I declared to myself. Well, I've made it about a third of the way through the film, and while the synthesizer sometimes fades into the background, it never seems to entirely go away. The quality of the cinematography, if you can call it that, is horrible. Some shots, as of the frequent ones of a man speaking in Italian about Vespa, are so dark I keep trying to turn up the brightness on my screen. It feels like the person with the camera has never used one before. Then there are terrible stills that have been tinted with color...

Loved it
This was an amazing find. I liked the story about the legendary scooter. Vrooooom! I did not know that the Vespa was created by an aircraft engineer and this film covered all those early things in its development.
